Ms. Heidi

Ms. Heidi first started working at a Montessori school when she was in high school.  After going to college to become a veterinarian and working in an animal hospital, she obtained her Montessori certification.  It was during her Montessori training that she first visited Rosehill and interned under Ms. Suman, a teacher who retired in 2017 after 20 years of service at Rosehill.

After initially working at several other schools in the area, Ms. Heidi returned to Rosehill and has been one of our teachers ever since.  When Ms. Heidi isn’t working in the classroom or the office, she likes to spend her time watching horror movies…the scarier the better.

Ms. Jaspreet


Position: Teacher

Ms. Jaspreet has been a Montessori teacher for over 9 years. She treats every day at school as new and exciting. She believes that the Montessori Method along with basic teaching helps the children get organized early on and develop great sense of sharing, caring and being helpful. She loves to be around children especially because of their great sense of humor and their ability to make everyone laugh all the time with their thoughtfully made up stories. In addition to her training as a Montessori teacher, Ms. Jaspreet has Masters and a PhD degree in Life Sciences and Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

Besides teaching regular classes, Ms. Jaspreet also conducts art classes at school. She frequently volunteers at Lisle School District events. In her free time, she loves cooking and art work. She is also an author of children’s books. 

Ms. Madhuri

Ms. Madhuri’s introduction to Montessori came when she volunteered as a classroom assistant in her daughter’s classroom at Rosehill in 2007. Prior to coming to Rosehill, Madhuri was a 6th  through 10th grade Chemistry and Math teacher in India. She has a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Education.   In 2009 she earned her Montessori certification at the Seton Montessori school and joined Rosehill as a full-time Montessori teacher.

Out of the five areas in Montessori classroom she enjoys Math and Sensorial the best. She enjoys working with students in the Math area because she knows that it helps develop logical thinking and introduces important concepts using hands-on work. She also enjoys working with students in the Sensorial area because the works cover every quality that can be experienced by the senses, and that is imperative for a developing child.

The main reason she loves working with 3-6 year age group is because they are curious, loving and quiet independent, a quality she strongly feels should be cultivated is developing children. Her hobbies are cooking, gardening and listening to music.

Ms. Khan


Position: Assistant Teacher

Ms. Khan is an assistant teacher who previously ran her own daycare facility prior to joining the Rosehill Montessori family in 2001.  She looked at a good number of schools and was drawn to Rosehill because of the warm environment and the experience of the other teachers.  Like many of the other teachers, she feels very strongly about the importance of education in addition to all of the other things that the children are learning (like respect for others and the importance of family and friends).

Ms. Khan is always amazed at the unconditional love from the children and tries to carry that into her daily life with her friends and family.  She especially loves seeing children that she previously worked with return to the school as young adults.  Ms. Khan is dedicated to her professional development and has taken a number of Montessori workshops throughout her time at Rosehill.

Ms. Shazia


Position: Assistant Teacher

Ms. Shazia began Montessori training in 2009 at the Seton Montessori Institute in Clarendon Hills, IL.  Prior to her formal instruction, she already had four years of previous experience overseas teaching children in the age group of 3-6 years.  After gaining additional experience at other Montessori schools in the western suburbs, she joined us in 2013 as an assistant teacher.  Ms. Shazia is currently pursuing a Montessori teaching credential through the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center. 

Ms. Shazia loves working with children of multiple age groups, but most particularly the younger children because of their ability to adapt to new environments.  She strongly adheres to the Montessori philosophy of guiding each child at his or her own pace, respecting the natural development of the young mind.  Outside of her work, she enjoys oil painting, sewing, knitting, and gourmet cooking.

Ms. Zoe


Position: Assistant Teacher

Ms. Zoe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and a Paraprofessional Certificate from Seton Montessori Institute.  Before working at Rosehill, she worked at Northern Illinois University’s Child Care Center where she worked as a Teacher’s Aide with the infants and preschool children and as a Camp Counselor with grade school children. 

When she is not working, she is traveling with her mom, watching movies with her niece or just running around with her dogs.  Family is very important to her and she loves spending as much time with them as she can.

Ms. Heather

Ms. Heather has 10+ years of paraprofessional/educational experience having worked with both child care and middle school environments as an Assistant Teacher and has studied Education at the College of DuPage.  After researching Montessori, she knew she wanted her 3 year old son in a Montessori school.  Ms. Heather took a tour of Rosehill, fell in love with the school and knew this is where she wanted her son to attend, and she was soon interested in becoming a staff member. Ms. Heather knew immediately that she found her career path working in a Montessori classroom. In addition to having received a Paraprofessional Certificate from Seton Montessori Institute, Ms. Heather is currently working toward completion of a Montessori teaching credential at Seton as well.

Outside of Rosehill, Ms. Heather most enjoys spending time with her family. 

Ms. Aimee


Position: Assistant Teacher

Ms. Aimee has a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Northern Iowa. Before working at Rosehill, she worked at a preschool summer camp through the Geneva Park District for two summers.

Outside of Rosehill, Ms. Aimee likes to be with her family, read, and play with her dog Charlie. 

Ms. Debbie


Position: Director

Ms. Debbie has served as a Montessori school administrator for over 10 years and worked at Montessori schools in the southwest suburbs before joining Rosehill in 2015.  She quickly fell in love with the Montessori philosophy and knew that this was the career path she needed to follow.

When Ms. Debbie isn’t working, she can be found spending time with her family and friends or just relaxing at home with her pets. 

Ms. Peggy


Position: French

Ms. Peggy is a native French speaker and her family lived in France up until 2012 when they moved to the Chicago area. Ms. Peggy has a Masters of Business Administration degree and a certification in teaching French as a second language and has worked since 2013 as a private French teacher and tutor.
In addition to enjoying spending time with her kids and her cat named Pichu (after Pokemon), Ms. Peggy loves French cuisine and cooking for family and friends, dancing to Latin music and visiting new places in the US every year. 

Ms. Stephanie

Ms. Stephanie has worked as an event photographer, pianist, and teacher.  She has earned a degree in Photography Technology and Advertising, Design and Illustration from the College of Dupage and a degree in music from Illinois Benedictine College.

Her artwork and photography have won awards in local art shows.  Currently, she shares her enthusiasm of art and music by teaching at the Naperville and Lisle Park Districts as well as in her private teaching studio in Lisle, Illinois.

Ms. Elizabeth


Position: Dance/ Movement

Ms. Elizabeth comes to Rosehill with over 25 years of dance experience and has taught jazz, hip hop, ballet, modern, tap, lyrical, latin, and ballroom to students of all ages. She has danced competitively and has also choreographed and coordinated many dance recitals and showcases in her former role as the head of a local park district. 
In her spare time, she likes to travel and hang out with her children.
